WHO IS AUSTIN?
Austin Marquez is a musical theatre performer based in New York City. Austin has been seen in several productions around the city including the Off-Broadway production of GEEKS! The Musical, the immersive experience, Zerospace, the "Broadway Close Up" performance of, When Broadway Went to Hollywood at the Kaufman Music Center, and many more.
Austin began performing at the age of 3, and hasn't left the stage since. He traveled from Colorado to NYC at the age of 18 to take his training in the arts to the next level and earn his degree in musical theatre at Marymount Manhattan College. Since completing his studies, Austin has continued to perform in many venues and also broaden his passion of choreographing and teaching.
Austin has been a passionate teaching artist for many years now. His love for teaching stems from watching his mother and sister train children in the arts his entire life. He is currently a dance instructor at the ABT Affiliated dance school American Youth Dance Theatre in New York City, and he has organized many dance, musical theatre, and cheer workshops and intensive’s at several studios and schools around the country.
Austin's main goal as an artist is to connect with others, whether it be fellow performers, students or audience members. He strives to create a level of human connection that can only be achieved through art by creating environments and experiences that are so personal they become universal.
He believes in using your voice in order to create an impact for others, whether it be to open their minds to new ideas, or to simply make them smile. He uses his own voice in order to encourage others to do the same.
